David Tang marked the inauguration of the first overseas branch of the Royal Geographical Society by giving a potted history of the Society. Colonel John Blashford-Snell, MBE, a veteran of over 60 expeditions, then took the floor and gave the audience an enthralling glimpse of his expeditioning around the world on land, sea and in the air. John finished his talk by encouraging everyone present to follow their questing spirit and venture forth on their own expeditions, regardless of age or ability.
