Kevin Bishop spoke about his journey retracing China's ancient trading and communications route linking Hong Kong and Beijing. At its height, the 3,500km route was more significant than the Silk Route. It runs along China's canals and rivers, across mountain passes and for almost 1000 years it was used by soldiers, missionaries, merchants, messengers and travellers.
