At this luncheon, sponsored by TMF Group, the RGS-HK & The British Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong are delighted to welcome The World’s Greatest Explorer, Sir Ranulph Fiennes, as our special guest.

From walking to both Poles to conquering Mount Everest to raising millions for charity, Sir Ranulph has overcome significant obstacles and accomplished extraordinary things over the course of his remarkable career. Now he has embarked on his latest expedition - The Global Reach Challenge. With only three summits to go, he aims to become the first person in the world to cross both polar ice caps and climb the Seven Summits.

Join us for what is sure to be a thrilling afternoon of stories from adventures then and now.

Starting in 1967 with the Jostedalsbreen Glacier Expedition, Sir Ranulph has since undertaken physical challenges across all the world’s terrains and continents. His many achievements include completing The Transglobe Expedition (1979-82), a solo Arctic Expedition (2000) and the gruelling Marathon des Sables (2015) aged 71.

For fifty years, Sir Ranulph has inspired generations with his ability to conquer new territories, embrace opportunities and build high performing teams whilst undertaking some of the hardest challenges on earth.

Sir Ranulph looks back on three decades of adventures in all corners of the globe and what he has learned from them. Reflecting on such diverse themes as the importance of choosing the right team, monitoring the opposition and dealing with the media, Sir Ranulph presents a breathtaking collection of photographs from his personal archive and discusses the, sometimes painful, lessons he has taken away from each expedition.

Members of the RGS, guests and others are most welcome to attend this event, which is HK$650 for RGS Members and HK$720 for guests and others. Tickets include a three-course lunch and a drink. Dress Code: Business Attire.
