The Royal Geographical Society in conjunction with Jacada Travel is pleased to welcome award-winning National Geographic Photographer and filmmaker Keith Ladzinski to Hong Kong to speak on 'A Fragile Planet: An Adventure Photographer on Seven Continents'. Mr Ladzinski takes guests behind the lens as he discusses his role as an “adventurous catalyst” and his dedication to conservation and environmental protection. He describes how he merges his fascination with the outdoor world, love of adventure sports and the vital importance of protecting the fragile planet, to develop his own distinctive style of photography.

Mr Ladzinski is in Hong Kong for the opening of his photo exhibition held in collaboration with luxury travel company Jacada Travel.  His talk will cover a plethora of themes including buying his first ever camera at a pawn shop, sparking his first interest in photography, and experimenting with capturing his passions of rock climbing and skateboarding on film.  He also discusses more recent work that takes him on expeditions to Antarctica in search of wildlife in the most extreme weather conditions, and capturing rock climbers in some of the world’s most exciting locations and stunning landscapes.  He shares insights into his life at the forefront of adventurous photography globally.

Keith Ladzinski is an award-winning National Geographic photographer and film maker.  Hailing from Colorado, U.S.A., his work spans diverse topics including natural history, extreme sports, advertising, landscapes and wildlife.  He has travelled to the furthest reaches of each of the seven continents on assignment for publications including National Geographic Magazine and The New York Times as well as clients including Nikon, Red Bull and The North Face.

Members of the RGS, their guests and others are most welcome to attend this event, which is HK$150 for RGS Members and HK$200 for guests and others, including a complimentary glass of white or red wine. A lucky draw will be held after the talk.

The Royal Geographical Society - Hong Kong thanks Jacada Travel for its generous assistance and gift of the Lucky Draw prize.
