Exploration and conservation in remote China

The former National Geographic writer and photographer and now President of the China Exploration and Research Society spoke of the Society's varied and fascinating work. He spoke of wildlife projects in Xinjian, the preservation of the black necked cranes, the conservation of Tibetan monasteries and the use of space borne radar to help locate lost fortresses along the Silk Route.
