the Furama Hotel
The explorer, described as one of the 1000 "Makers of the 20th Century", spoke of the magnificent Air Mountains and Tenere desert of northern Niger. He travelled on camel back and studied the prehistoric rock art, the Tuareg lifestyle and the world's biggest sand dunes. The journey proved to be an extraordinary spiritual desert experience.
