Tibet's secret mountain

Sir Chris Bonington CBE (Illustrated lecture, dinner and film)
Wednesday, 18 Oct 2000
The Excelsior Hotel
Sepu Kangri is known locally as "the Great White Snow God" and Tibet's "secret mountain". For Sir Christian Bonington, the 22,800 ft peak represented the last great climb in the world, the chance to explore and climb in an unknown Tibetan range whose length is comparable to the entire Alps. Chris' awardwinning documentary "The Everest Years" was shown after dinner.
