Visit to the Hong Kong Observatory
A visit to the Hong Kong Observatory in Nathan Road was organised, lasting one and a half hours. A small group had the chance to learn about the weatherreporting services offered by the Observatory; it spent time in an exhibition room featuring interactive displays on the Observatory's weather reporting role (with impressive computer programmes tracking the progress of recent typhoons through Hong Kong) and its role in monitoring radiation levels. Visitors also had the chance to operate weather instruments and put questions to Observatory staff.
