Professor Mitchell, from the University of Waterloo in Canada, looked at "best practice" in resource and environmental management, drawing on his experiences of working in Australia, Canada and Indonesia. The professor also gave examples of explicit initiatives to incorporate cultural considerations into sustainable development strategies. Bruce Mitchell was visiting Hong Kong as a special guest of the Wei Lun Visiting Professorship Scheme of Chinese University.
