The Shackleton Memorial Expedition
"When disaster strikes and all hope is gone, get down on your knees and pray for Shackleton." This famous quotation so inspired Neil that he felt compelled to visit Terra Incognita, to see for himself the beautiful but harsh environment and climate that were such obstacles to Sir Ernest Shackleton's escape from Antarctica in 1916. This is an account of two British expeditions to recreate his remarkable journey 85 year's ago and a look at why Shackleton has been described as one of the greatest leaders that has ever lived!
