Michael Palin was elected President of the Royal Geographical Society in 2009, following an illustrious career which took him from longrunning Monty Python fame, to A Fish Called Wanda, to the world's best loved maker of travel documentaries.

He joins us in Hong Kong in his capacity as the President of the Royal Geographical Society raising funds for the Presidents Appeal . This initiative is to restore the north face of Lowther Lodge and the Members Room of the RGS headquarters in London, allowing greater access to the Society's collections.
