We are delighted to welcome again Tang Chin Cheung together with 3 biologists to lead another field trip to the beautiful Sharp Island in Hong Kong’s new Geopark.

Sharp Island is formed by a variety of igneous rocks with spectacular scenery near Sai Kung in the Geopark. Coral reefs form the world's most productive ecosystems, providing complex and varied marine habitats to support a wide range of organisms. Sharp Island has coral cover of over 70%. A natural bridge connecting a nearby island also forms at low tide.

Programme:

Guided snorkeling with biologists, enabling participants to get closer to the marine environment and to know more about costal ecology.

Tour of the geological features of the island.

Nature walk along part of the official Geopark trail and the beaches of the island.

Swimming at the numerous beaches on the island.

Timing: approx. 9:00 am ~ 5.00 pm

Cost: HK$650 for Members and $700 for Members' guests, including land and sea transport in addition to the above programme. Members may bring guests on this trip, subject to availability.
