RGS-HK Gala Dinner 2020: An Event of the RGS-HK Silver Jubilee Celebrations

The Royal Geographical Society - Hong Kong invites you and your guests to join our Gala Dinner 2020, part of our Silver Jubilee Celebrations.

We are pleased to welcome three incredible speakers.  They are: Stephen Venables, the first person to reach the summit of Mount Everest alone and without the use of oxygen; Robin Hanbury-Tenison, the world's most prolific explorer who has saved more than 500 minority ethnic groups around the world through his charity, Survival International; and Rebecca Lowe, the famous British journalist who cycled from London to Tehran alone via Africa.  They will join different stages of the party by Zoom. 

Last but not least, there’ll also be a short Quiz with fabulous prizes.

The cost includes a sumptuous dinner and complimentary wines and soft drinks all evening. 

Members’ tickets are HK$980 each 
-  Regular tickets are at HK$1,380 each, including one year’s RGS-HK membership worth HK$400
-  Discounted tickets are HK$1,230 each, including one year’s RGS-HK membership worth HK$400 when payment is made by recurring credit card 

In view of the popularity of this dinner, priority is being given to Members.   
 
For this event, there is pre-booked individual seating available, or you may arrange a group at a table.

The surplus from this dinner is used to subsidise and make possible our educational and charitable activities.   This includes our programme of more than 100 events throughout the year, including a scholarship programme for students and a major Schools Outreach Programme.  Your support for this is much appreciated. 

With regards to social distancing, this event is to be held in compliance with the recommendations of the Government at the time of the event.
